It is hard to believe that it has been 12 years since the infamous attack on our country on September 11. Like other events that have changed the world, many can remember exactly where they were on that day and the stunned disbelief that they felt as events unfolded.
For me, September 11 evokes a wide range of memories and emotions. I am grateful that my friend and colleague who was present at ground zero on that day escaped without serious injury. I am proud that personnel from our company volunteered in the rescue efforts on the following day. I am sad for the injured and those lost and for their families who must continue without them.
While the passage of time can help to heal wounds, it can also dull one’s memory. Let us never forget what happened on that day or fail to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in trying to rescue others. Let us pray that our future finds us in a peaceful world where such events never happen again.

Proper training is essential to the success and longevity of any infrared inspection program. If you are a professional thermographer, distribute infrared or related test equipment, or are involved in professional training, we can help you to increase both sales and profits. An affiliation with Infraspection Institute can also help to increase your company’s visibility without compromising your credibility.
With the proliferation of cheaper infrared cameras, competition has become more fierce and profits more scarce. Offering training can not only expand your services and increase profits, it can help provide a long-term relationship that keeps your clients ‘on the farm’ and close to you.
Because Infraspection Institute does not sell infrared equipment, our courses are presented without marketing hype. Since we are not affiliated with infrared equipment manufacturers, you can rest assured that your clients are not being hijacked by a competitor. Best of all, you have several options to choose from including open enrollment classes, on-site courses, and our convenient web-based Distance Learning courses.
As thermography grows in popularity, many thermographers and their employers are seeking ways to enhance their credibility. One option is to establish a written practice that complies with the American Society for Nondestructive Testing document, SNT-TC-1A. According to SNT-TC-1A, employers must establish a written practice for the control and administration of training, examination, and certification. While it is possible to outsource this task, this option can prove costly. For those with little or no experience establishing a written practice can be a time-consuming and confusing task.
In order to simplify the process of developing a written practice, Infraspection Institute has developed a document titled, Written Practice for Qualification & Certification of Personnel in Thermal/Infrared Testing Method. This document provides suggested wording and format for preparing a comprehensive written practice for the training, examination, and certification of infrared thermographers.
Co-authored by an ASNT Level III, this 27 page document outlines the requirements, practices, and policies for qualifying and certifying infrared thermographers. It is fully compliant with requirements set forth in the latest version of SNT-TC-1A. Document is provided as a template in a Microsoft Word file and can be quickly and easily modified to suit the user’s needs. Template may be used as the core language for an employer’s written practice as required by Recommended Practice SNT-TC-1A, 2011 Edition.
Purchase price include license for unlimited use of template by the original purchaser.
