IR/INFO 2019 – A Resounding Success!

Burlington, NJ January 30, 2019 — Infraspection Institute’s IR/INFO Conference was held earlier this month in New Orleans, LA. IR/INFO 2019 marks the 30th anniversary for the advanced training conference, technical symposium and technology expo. IR/INFO was attended by infrared thermographers, PdM technologists, and building inspection professionals from around the world who enjoyed four days of networking, learning, and fun in a relaxed and professional atmosphere.
Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute, states, “We were very pleased with this year’s IR/INFO conference. With 5 short courses, hands-on workshops, and 18 technical presentations, this year’s conference covered a broad array of infrared applications, new equipment and technologies, thermal imaging via drones, roof and building inspections, safety, and current legal issues. We thank our exhibitors, our speakers and all who attended and helped to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our IR/INFO conference.”
Co-sponsored by United Infrared and Accolade Group, this year’s conference also featured the latest in infrared imagers and software from several manufacturers. Sunday evening’s Welcome Reception and Mardi Gras party featured plenty of local fare and a chance for attendees to relax and network.

A veteran of past IR/INFO conferences, Brian Woodson said: The conference was all-inclusive, very informative and educational.”

Veteran speaker and attendee Fred Baier was equally impressed stating: “Another great conference which enlightened me to updates and new technology within the industry.

Another highlight of the conference occurred on Tuesday evening when guests were treated to a cocktail reception sponsored by the IRINFO Group. Several door prizes were provided by Accolade Group, Fotric Precision Instruments, and UE Systems, Inc. Following the reception, several attendees strolled to the French Quarter to enjoy local cuisine at the city’s famed restaurants. Attendees visited well known attractions including Preservation Hall, Jackson Square, Café Du Monde, and several of the nightclubs along Bourbon Street.

First time attendee Dennis DeGerald had this to say about his first IR/INFO experience: “The variety of short courses allowed for continuing education in numerous aspects of our field. I’m looking forward to IR/INFO 2020!”

Adria Corbett added: “Excellent way to network, keep abreast of the world of infrared, and stay up-to-date on infrared technology.”

Jim Seffrin concluded: “Plans for Infraspection’s next IR/INFO event are already well underway. IR/INFO 2020 will be held once again at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel, in San Antonio, Texas from January 19 – 22, 2020. We look forward to seeing everyone again next year for another fun-filled and informative event.”
