Infraspection Announces Level II Distance Learning Courses

Burlington, NJ  October 16, 2007 -- Infraspection Institute is pleased to announce the addition of Level II Thermography to its highly successful Distance Learning program. Designed specifically for online delivery, Level II Thermography covers the same core curriculum as Infraspection’s Certified Infrared Thermographer® training course. Level II Thermography focuses on quantitative thermography, non-contact temperature measurement, and advanced thermographic applications.

According to Jim Seffrin, Director of Infraspection Institute, “Our new course enables thermographers the opportunity to advance their training and skill sets quickly and easily. Level II Thermography covers advanced infrared theory, equipment calibration, radiometric error sources and corrections, and several applications. Students also learn methods for setting temperature limits and determining repair priorities.”

Level II Thermography is divided into narrated 1-hour units allowing students to work at a convenient pace. Each course unit is designed to build upon the previous units of the course. Students may return to individual course units at any time for review. Course content is equivalent to 32 hours of classroom instruction and meets ASNT requirements for training of NDT personnel.

Christopher Seffrin, Co-Director of Infraspection adds, “With our Distance Learning Thermography Courses, students can take their infrared training wherever and whenever it’s convenient. All courses are taught by Infraspection Institute Level 3 Certified Infrared Thermographers®, each having over 20 years of professional experience.”

Students who successfully complete the Level II Thermography course are eligible to take the Infraspection Institute Certified Infrared Thermographer® Exam. This exam is offered at no charge at the end of all Infraspection open enrollment classes and at the annual IR/INFO Conference. For a fee, the exam may also be taken by appointment at authorized testing centers or via a secure video link.
