Clear skies, the Mighty Mississippi, and an elegant stern wheeler. What better way to kick off IR/INFO than an exciting river cruise and visit to the site of the Battle of New Orleans?
Join us for a fun-filled afternoon aboard the Creole Queen where you can view the French Quarter and the Port of New Orleans from a unique perspective. Listen as the Captain provides a detailed narration of New Orleans landmarks, area history, and river lore. Disembark at Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, the site of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans, where you can tour the Chalmette Battlefield including the Malus-Beauregard House and the Chalmette Monument before re-boarding for the return cruise.

The cruise is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, January 22. Passengers should meet at the IRINFO Registration Desk at 12:30 pm for a short walk to the dock. Cruise departs at 2:00 pm and returns at 4:30 pm.
